Greg Willitts

Sisters, OR - #218X

Biography

Racing from the high desert of Sisters, Oregon, this off-road veteran brings decades of SCORE desert racing experience to the Sportsman Motorcycle division. Competing aboard Honda machinery, Greg Willitts has tackled some of the most challenging terrain in Baja California, including the legendary Baja 1000 where he's faced the peninsula's unforgiving landscape from Ensenada to La Paz.

The SCORE archives show Willitts competing in the demanding Sportsman Moto class, where privateer racers test their skills against Baja's notorious rocky terrain, deep sand washes, and technical mountain sections. His racing campaigns have included multi-rider team efforts, demonstrating the collaborative spirit essential for completing these grueling endurance events that can span over 1,000 miles of Mexican desert.

Based in Oregon's Cascade Mountains, Willitts represents the Pacific Northwest's growing presence in desert racing, bringing his high-altitude training advantage to sea-level competition. His participation in SCORE's premier events showcases the dedication required to transport equipment across international borders and navigate the complex logistics of Baja racing, where mechanical preparation and strategic planning often determine success as much as raw speed and riding ability.
