A proven desert racing veteran from Mexico's border region, Cesar Fiscal has carved out an impressive career in SCORE International competition, culminating in his spectacular 2017 Baja 1000 victory alongside Roberto Romo in the grueling Class 1/2-1600 division. Their triumph in car #1601 showcased the enduring appeal of VW-powered vehicles in Baja racing, as they navigated the challenging 1,134-mile course from Ensenada to La Paz in 26 hours and 39 minutes.

The Class 1/2-1600 victory was particularly significant as it demonstrated the team's ability to overcome the unique challenges faced by smaller displacement vehicles in the world's most prestigious desert race. Competing against 19 other VW-powered entries, Fiscal and his five co-drivers managed to outpace the field while dealing with heavy traffic from larger, faster vehicles and the treacherous boulder sections that define Baja's legendary terrain.
