Biography

Racing royalty runs deep in the Robertson family bloodline, with Nick Robertson carrying forward a legendary desert racing legacy built by his father Don and uncle Doug Robertson. The elder Robertsons dominated SCORE desert racing throughout the 1970s and early 1980s, piloting their iconic Bilstein Bugs to multiple victories including the 1976 SCORE Baja 1000 where they achieved the remarkable feat of finishing second overall in Class 5 – a position never since matched by a Class 5 vehicle in that race.

Based in Tehachapi, California, Nick represents the next generation of Robertson racing excellence, drawing from decades of family knowledge and experience in navigating Baja's most challenging terrain. The Robertson racing tradition includes numerous SCORE victories across multiple classes, with the family's blue and yellow Bilstein Bugs becoming legendary in Class 5 competition before transitioning to Class 1 success, including an overall Class 1 victory at the 1979 SCORE Baja 1000.

Nick's involvement in SCORE competition continues the family's deep connection to desert racing, building upon a foundation established when his father and uncle helped revolutionize off-road racing technology through their partnership with Bilstein shock absorbers during the sport's formative years.
