El Centro, CA - #1031
Make: Alumicraft Model: Buggy Engine: Engine Builder: Redline Chassis: Alumicraft Transmission: Folts
A skilled desert racer from the Imperial Valley, this El Centro competitor has proven his mettle in SCORE's most challenging events, most notably securing a hard-fought second place finish in Class 10 at the prestigious 2018 SCORE Baja 500. Racing the number 1031 Alumi Craft-Chevy alongside co-driver Caleb Gaddis, Peterson demonstrated exceptional endurance and tactical racing by navigating the brutal 542-mile Baja peninsula course in 13 hours and 52 minutes.
The 2018 Baja 500 showcased Peterson's ability to compete against the sport's elite, finishing just behind teenage phenom Broc Dickerson while outpacing seasoned competitors including previous SCORE winners Chase Warren and Cody Reid. His podium performance came in one of the most competitive Class 10 fields in recent memory, with only 14 of 24 starters successfully completing the punishing desert course.
Operating from California's off-road racing hub in El Centro, Peterson brings intimate knowledge of desert terrain and conditions that prove invaluable in SCORE competition. His steady driving style and mechanical preparation have established him as a consistent threat in the limited, sealed-engine Class 10 category, where driver skill and strategy often determine success over raw horsepower.
