His impressive 2019 campaign showcased his ability to perform under pressure, securing an 11th place finish in the overall Trophy Truck Spec standings. At the legendary Baja 500, Pelayo delivered a strong 17th place finish against a field of 37 starters, earning valuable championship points in one of desert racing's most demanding contests. His consistent performance continued at the San Felipe 250, where he captured a solid 13th place finish, further cementing his reputation as a reliable competitor who can navigate the brutal Baja Peninsula terrain.
