Biography

Racing solo through the unforgiving Baja peninsula, this Vancouver, Washington native has carved out a reputation as one of SCORE's most determined ironman competitors. His gritty approach to desert racing was exemplified at the 2018 SCORE Baja 500, where he piloted his Husqvarna FE501 across 542 miles of punishing terrain in the Sportsman Motorcycle class, finishing 19th overall among 21 starters in a field that saw only 19 finishers.

Baker's commitment to the sport extends beyond individual achievement, as he's frequently raced alongside family members including Brad Baker and Tim Baker, creating a multi-generational presence in SCORE competition. His choice to compete in the demanding Sportsman Motorcycle division, often running solo against full teams of riders, demonstrates the mental and physical toughness that defines elite desert racers.

Operating primarily on Husqvarna machinery, Baker has consistently shown the ability to navigate Baja's treacherous course conditions that have claimed countless competitors over the decades. His participation in SCORE's premier events, including the legendary Baja 500, places him among a select group of racers willing to tackle Mexico's most challenging off-road terrain in pursuit of desert racing glory.
