Building on his historic 2017 overall victory at the SCORE San Felipe 250, Sidney Marchand continues to establish himself as a formidable force in SCORE International desert racing. The Texas-based rider achieved a landmark triumph when he captured the overall Sportsman Motorcycle crown aboard his KTM 500EXC, becoming the sole finisher in the sportsman division during the brutal 31st running of the San Felipe 250.

Marchand's victory placed him among an elite group of San Felipe 250 champions, joining legendary names like Johnny Campbell, Dan Smith, and Jim O'Neal in the race's storied history. His win came during a year when the desert proved particularly unforgiving, with no other sportsman competitors able to complete the punishing 250-mile course through Baja California's challenging terrain.
