Travis Clarke - Class 10

Travis Clarke

Encinitas, CA - #1045

Biography

Building on years of Class 10 competition experience, this Encinitas-based desert racer has established himself as a consistent threat in SCORE's ultra-competitive single-seater division. Clarke's most notable achievement came at the 2016 SCORE Baja 500, where he co-drove with Pat Dailey to capture the overall Class 10 victory, defeating a field of over 30 starters in one of desert racing's most demanding categories.

His partnership with Dailey has proven particularly successful, with the duo demonstrating the endurance and precision required for Baja's punishing terrain. The 2017 SCORE Baja 1000 showcased Clarke's versatility and determination, as he joined a five-driver team including Dailey, Bill Baroody, Eliott Watson, and Michael Loomis in their Raceco-Chevy Class 10 machine. Despite the race's legendary difficulty—spanning over 1,134 miles from Ensenada to La Paz—the team persevered to a respectable 10th place finish among 17 finishers from 33 starters.

Clarke's commitment to SCORE desert racing reflects the dedication required to compete at the sport's highest level, where mechanical reliability, strategic pit work, and driver skill combine to determine success across Mexico's most challenging desert courses.
