Biography

A proven competitor in SCORE's most challenging desert races, this Barstow-based motorcyclist has established himself as a formidable force in Pro Moto Unlimited competition. His most notable achievement came during the historic 2017 50th Anniversary BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 1000, where he helped secure an overall motorcycle victory as part of Francisco Arredondo's championship-winning team aboard the No. 45x Bremen-Arredondo-Haines Racing Honda CRF450x.

The grueling 1,134-mile peninsula run from Ensenada to La Paz tested every aspect of the five-rider team's endurance and skill. Despite mechanical challenges including a faulty transmission that locked the Honda in fourth and fifth gear, Eddy Jr. and his teammates—Shane Esposito, Justin Morgan, and Ty Davis—persevered through the final critical miles to claim victory with a time of 21:07:17.

This Baja 1000 triumph marked the team's third consecutive SCORE Baja victory that season, clinching both the race win and the Pro Moto Unlimited championship. At 43, Eddy Jr. continues competing at the highest levels of desert racing, representing the depth of talent that has made him a two-time Baja 1000 winner and respected veteran of SCORE competition.

Undefeated | December 2019 Issue

Although the conditions at this year’s BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 1000 Presented by 4 Wheel Parts changed the game plan for many of the fourwheel race teams, the motorcycle racers didn’t seem as phased with the changing course. Even without an injured Mark Samuels, Justin Morgan still had a race to win and asked Max Eddy Jr., Shane Esposito, and David Kamo to help him win. Starting before dawn on Saturday, November 23rd, Morgan headed out into the Baja desert and seemingly had no difficulty riding through the mud at a pace that remained well ahead of the SCORE Trophy Trucks that would jump onto the course later that morning Read More
