Racing out of Oregon's Rogue Valley, this veteran desert racer brings decades of Baja Peninsula experience to the grueling SCORE World Desert Championship series. Competing primarily in the highly competitive Class 10 division, Baron has demonstrated remarkable consistency and determination across some of motorsport's most challenging terrain.
His most notable SCORE appearance came at the legendary 2017 SCORE Baja 1000, where he teamed with co-driver Zebulun Baron in the #1096 Alumi Craft-Chevy. Despite facing the race's notorious 1,134-mile course from Ensenada to La Paz, the team persevered through mechanical challenges and brutal desert conditions to secure a hard-fought 14th place finish in Class 10 out of 33 starters, with only 17 teams ultimately reaching the checkered flag.
The 2017 Baja 1000 proved particularly demanding, with racers battling thick fog, treacherous silt beds, and punishing terrain that claimed more than half the field. Baron's ability to maintain focus and navigate these extreme conditions while piloting his single-seat desert racer demonstrates the skill and mental fortitude that defines successful SCORE competitors.
His continued participation in SCORE events reflects a deep passion for desert racing and commitment to one of motorsport's most demanding disciplines.
