This Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. PT and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT at the Orange County Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, Calif., thousands of off-road fans will have the opportunity to experience SCORE and pick up a copy of the official course map for ‘The Granddaddy of All Desert Races.’

The Off-Road Expo is the largest and most significant annual gathering of the off-road motorsports community. Hundreds of manufacturers will showcase their newest products to off-road industry professionals, media members, and thousands of passionate off-road enthusiasts.

The colorful and expansive SCORE Baja 1000 Cabo to Cabo exhibit, located in Building 15, will once again give off-road racing fans the opportunity to interact with many of the world’s top desert racers and legendary figures in the sport, while enjoying a display of some of the most radical race vehicles and motorcycles ever developed, from both the past and present.

COURSE UNVEILING

At 11 a.m. PT on Saturday, Oct. 3, SCORE will hold a press conference to officially unveil the course map for the 59th SCORE Baja 1000, the iconic ‘Granddaddy of All Desert Races.’ During the SCORE Baja 1000 course presentation, SCORE Vice President of Marketing and Sales Jim Ryan will provide details on the legendary event, which will be held in San Jose del Cabo, Baja California Sur, Mexico. Race week will be held Nov. 9-15.

Also on hand will be charismatic the ‘Voice of SCORE’ Rat Sult, who will interact with fans and lead the opening festivities at the 27th annual King Shocks Off-Road Expo, along with SCORE Co-Race Director Rodolfo Fernandez, who will provide a detailed breakdown of the 964.66-mile race course for the Pro and Sportsman motorcycle and four-wheel classes making the journey to the magical state of Baja California Sur for the ‘November Classic.’

This year marks the 53rd anniversary of SCORE International, the world’s premier desert racing organization.

SCORE’S ‘STEEL MACHINES’

The SCORE Baja 1000 exhibit at the 27th annual King Shocks Off-Road Expo will feature several incredible race vehicles, giving fans the opportunity to see these spectacular machines up close and take photos alongside them.

The centerpiece of the display will be the legendary SCORE Trophy Truck known as ‘Arnold,’ raced by Off-Road legend Larry ‘Lightning’ Ragland. The iconic race truck made its debut in the 1995 SCORE Baja 1000, which started in Tijuana, Baja California, and finished in La Paz, Baja California Sur. Ragland drove it to the overall victory in that race and was inducted into the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2016.

Ragland continued his remarkable run aboard Nelson & Nelson Racing’s ‘Arnold’ through the magical deserts of the Baja California peninsula, capturing SCORE Baja 1000 overall victories again in 1996, 1997 and 1999, along with a second-place overall finish in 1998 in ‘The Granddaddy of All Desert Races.’

Long Beach, Calif.-based Wilson Motorsports, winners of the seventh SCORE Baja 400, will display its spectacular Jimco Hammerhead Class 1 race car, driven by Brad Wilson and Kyle Quinn. The purpose-built desert racing machine is an impressive example of Jimco’s engineering and craftsmanship.

Also, on display will be two motorcycles that have competed in the first three rounds of the 2026 SCORE World Desert Championship. One will be the No. 1x Slam Life Racing Honda CRF450X, with 2025 Pro Moto Unlimited champion Tyler Lynn leading the team. The squad has been perfect so far in 2026, scoring three consecutive victories in the SCORE San Felipe 250, SCORE Baja 500 and SCORE Baja 400.

The other motorcycle will be the No. 3 Hero Racing Ducati Desmo450, raced by Americans Ciaran Naran and Cody Simpson, along with Australian Callum Norton, through the deserts, beaches and mountains of the Baja California peninsula. The team will be looking to capture the checkered flag in the upcoming SCORE Baja 1000 Cabo to Cabo.

Online registration for the Pro and Sportsman motorcycle and four-wheel vehicle classes is available on the official SCORE website. All information regarding SCORE races can also be found on the website under the Race Info menu.
